Spaces

STUDIO 1

This space was created by building onto a factory courtyard and was opened in 2007 together with the adjoining bar. The hall is conceived as a so-called black box, enabling variable use for theatre, dance performances, concerts and many other activities of all possible genres.

STUDIO 2 /FOUNDRY/

Renovation of the Foundry was completed in 2012. Even before its completion, the space of this former factory hosted alternative site-specific projects that utilised the rawness and slightly demolished appearance of this deteriorating building. In most cases much of the valuable architectural features of the factories have remained.
The wooden beams of the original ceiling structure that gives the space a certain softness combined with the windows that allow daylight into the hall

The variability of Studio 2 is enhanced through an extending auditorium and moving partitions, that can also be used as screening surfaces. The hall is also equipped with many additional black screens and projectors enabling large multimedia projects as well as theatre and music performances.

BAR

This area was renovated as part of the construction of Studio 1 in the original assembly hall of Richter’s Machine Plant. The bar also has its own podium for smaller cultural productions.

GALLERY

This space adjoins all the above-mentioned spaces. As well as its original function, it is also used for smaller film screenings, as a small theatre, rehearsal space or lecture room.
